PROVENANCE
Former collection of a famous collector，Ding Huikang. This work is provided friendly by Ding Huikang’s family.

Liu Chan，son of the artist confirms the authenticity
Ding Huikang（1904-1979），son of collector Ding Baofu，whose collection followed his father’s step，concentrated on collecting chinas and paintings. He donated most of his collection to the Palace Museum.
Ding Huikang，Liu Hai-Sou and Zhu Fukan were old friends.Ding and Liu launched several cutural movement to save the nation from extinction. Amoung which，the most famous one is to successful hold“Painting and Calligraphy Through the Ages Exhibition”for Shanghai Medical Association.
According to Ding’s family，in c.1939 Ding Huikang was invited to Liu Hai-Sou Painting Exhibiton and purchased seveal Liu’s paintings to support friend. And this work is one of them.
